We're trying to upgrade our Vaxen to Ultrix 3.1 -- but whenever I try
to start up our locally-compiled version of X11R3 on diskless 6M RAM
monochrome Vaxstation 2000 we've upgraded to Ultrix 3.1, it crashes
spectacularly (drops back to the 83 BOOT SYS message, with nary a
panic message to be seen). The same binaries and everything run fine
on an identical Vaxstation 2000 next to it that's still running Ultrix
2.2.
Does anyone have any ideas? Has this happened to anyone? Are there
kernel misconfigurations that might have caused this problem?
