Does anyone have experience with commercially prepared single board control computers? I was going to build one myself with a Z80, and 4K of Ram and Eprom, but now have decided to buy one that already works. (These are different from the "little board" discussed earlier, in that it is meant for imbedded applications, so it is not set up to live on a floppy disk. They usually have a serial port to a monitor or tiny basic, and at least 16 bits of parallel i/o...) I am getting specs from Micromint on Ciarcia's Z8 basic and forth controller cards, and on the new 8052 card with the Eprom programmer built in. Has anyone on the net used this stuff? Does anyone know of other reliable small boards? I would be particularly interested in Z80 based systems since I can develop bug-free code on my cromemco...
