I am getting an error when trying to run dxcalendar (Ultrix 3.1d) on a decstation 3100 running X11R4. The error is this: % dxcalendar X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operati on) Major opcode of failed request: 25 (X_SendEvent) Minor opcode of failed request: 0 Resource id in failed request: 0xffffffff Serial number of failed request: 717 Current serial number in output stream: 763 and that's it. It never comes up. The other dx clients that are linked with dxcalendar, i.e. dxcalc, dxclock, dxpuzzle, all work fine. Just dxcalendar dies. Has anybody on the net run dxcalendar vers. 3.1d with an R4 server? If so, is there a fix for this problem? Thanks. --- Paul Howell grue@caen.engin.umich.edu

This is a known problem, caused because the MIT X11R4 sample server is much more careful with the X protocol than was the X11R3 sample server or the DEC servers. Many MIT X11R3 clients also broke because of this. If you have source code, the fix is a one-liner. Fixed binaries will be shipped in one of the next releases.
