[comp.unix.ultrix] Pascal compiler?

barrett@jhunix.HCF.JHU.EDU (Dan Barrett) (07/12/90)

We just got some DS3100's and a DS5400 server with Ultrix 3.1D.
To my surprise, there appears to be no Pascal compiler on the system; I've
checked both the supported and unsupported tapes.

Is there a compiler? Did I miss it?

If not, will one be supplied with Ultrix 4.0?

	If not, why not?

	Thanks!

                                                        Dan

Some of the stuff that isn't readily portable such as pi, f77 and company aren't
part of the RISC release. I think DEC is planning layered products (i.e. $$$)
that provide the equivalent function, at least this is the case with f77.
