We have a Microvax II here doing nothing but collecting dust. True, this isn't a state of the art machine, but it did do well as a slow X terminal. It crashed a few months ago from a bad hard drive. The hard drive can easily be repaired or replaced. However, we don't have the OS tapes for it. We just bought an Ultrix license, and our support staff had one set of tapes. Well, they no longer support this system, and don't have the tapes anymore. So, is there anyone out there who has the OS tapes for this machine? They need to be either BSD or Ultrix. Supposedly BSD doesn't run on this machine, but our support staff had it on our machine for a while because Ultrix had some trouble talking to the network. The tapes need to be the wacky TK-50 kind. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! Help us find the tapes for this machine. If you know of anyone with a MicroVax II, pass this posting along to them. I'm sure there are some tapes lying around out there collecting dust which would get our machine back in business. Thanks very much!
