I have recently set up uucp on a MVII runing ultrix 3.0, incoming calls
are handled with no problem. the problem is when the system calls out, the
modem is a 2400 bps hayes compatable modem, and I am using the ACU with it
designated to a hayes modem. sometimes the call is completed fine othertimes
uucico will respond with an error on ttyd1 even though the remote host's modem
is not busy.
sometimes the call will be completed on the first call othertimes it will take
2 or 3 attempts to call out...I am starting to suspect the modem as being
faulty but I am able to "tip" to the line and talk to the modem with no
problems.
If one man can dig a ditch in 60 seconds then.....
