When an "at" command is run, it cannot access files for which the user has group access - unless the user's primary group is that of the file. e.g. A file has permissions -rw-rw---- and has group = groupA If a user (who doesn't own the file) wishes to run an "at" command that uses this file, she must have GroupA as her PRIMARY group, she can't just be in GroupA via /etc/group. This appears to be a bug in atrun, as the script that at sets up can be executed ok by the user, just not by atrun. Has anyone seen this before, found a fix - we don't really want to have to mess around with group permission. We're running Ultrix 3.01 on Vaxstation IIs. We don't have the source for atrun so can't patch it. -- Mark Wright. Dept. of Survey and Land Information,NZ. email: mark@dosli.govt.nz phone: 64 4 710-380 ext 8688
