I decided to update our Perl 3.0 today from patch level 18 up through patch level 36. Following all the normal warnings about volatile & removing optimization I got it to compile, but when doing "make test" I got one failure: op.s............FAILED on test 52 I'm used to failing test 7 & 40 (the aforementioned changes correct this), but should I be concerned about failing test 52 (I *am* concerned)? Would applying patch level 37 help (nothing mentioned in there about op.s that I saw)? I've been avoiding going to patch level 37 because of the recent problems folks have been mentioning in comp.lang.perl with it. Any pointers you can give toward solving this problem would be greatly appreciated. -- ========================================================================== Bob DeBula | Internet: bobd@hpuxa.ircc.ohio-state.edu The Ohio State University | Disclaimer: These are my views, not the U's Davros sez: When my Daleks compute they use X-TER-MI-NALS!
