Any clues? > We had the same problem on our VAX 6000-440's. The cause is due to a bug in the telnetd.gw software. I don't know if there is going to be a fix for it or not. At any rate the default configuration for Ultrix 4.0 is to have the /etc/inetd.conf file configured for /etc/telnetd and not /etc/telnetd.gw. Ultrix 3.1 defaulted to /etc/telnetd.gw. You probably got into trouble by restoring your old /etc/inted.conf file when you upgraded to 4.0. If you change your /etc/inted.conf file your double login problem will go away. I am assuming you don't need the gated telnet features. -- James Bachesta Assoc.
