Hi,
I about to send an SPR but I was wondering if anybody has seen this
particular problem with 8mm drives on DS3100s and DS5000s?
under Ultrix 3.1* on 3100s and 5400 we could not use the 8mm drive
because of mt program acted very strange. it hung the drive or
mt fsf unloaded and many strange thing. But all these problems
were fixed under Ultrix 4.0 and it works perfectly on DS3100s
and DS5000s (have not tried it on 5400 but we think it will work)
We have another DS5000 (2D graphic) running Ultrix 4.1Beta
and again all the problems with MT is back and it is worth.
Has anybody seen this problem.
I do not have real Ultrix 4.1 yet so I do not know if this
was a Beta problem or not.
