[comp.unix.ultrix] How do you start DecWindows?

We are running Ultrix 4.0 (soon to be 4.1 when I can find the time to do
a reinstall :-( on Decstation 3100s.

When the system is initially installed, DecWindows is the default login
environment (login runs under DecWindows).  Changing /etc/ttys will allow 
you to get a "normal" UNIX login prompt.  Most of our users run X11R4, but
it is sometimes necessary to run DecWindows.  The question is, how do you
do this without making it the default login environment?  DEC support
had no answer (other than starting everything by hand and killing it all
when you're done - not a solution).  I thought I would ask before I start
modifying xinit to work with DecWindows.
