I am trying to hook an lp26 up to cxy08 tty. I have managed the basics and obtained some partial results. Problem is that rather randomly the dhu fifo overflows resulting in a printer that hangs until you take it offline and bring it back on (usually results in lost data too). Still other times it will print long files without incedent. Anyone familiar with this kind of problem and know a fix? The dhu (4) mentions the error but is unclear about how to rectify it. Is there a way to adjust the input speed to the dhu drivers internal queue (this seems implied by the dhu (4))? Also, anyone know the correct pinout for the port? I suppose I may be missing the necessary handshake. Right now my breakout box is set to 2-2,3-3,4-5,7-7,8-8. My /etc/printcap entry is: lp1|1|test1:\ :af=/usr/adm/lp1acct:\ :br#9600:\ :if=/usr/lib/lpdfilters/lpf:\ :lf=/usr/adm/lp1err:\ :lp=/dev/tty07:\ :mx#0:\ :of=/usr/lib/lpdfilters/lpf:\ :sd=/usr/spool/lpd1: I have commented out any reference to /dev/tty07 in /etc/ttys. I am running out of things to tweak. Any help, clues, pointers, etc... will greatly appreciated! #define Holidays "HAPPY" #include <religion.std> - Joe -- bush@evax.arl.utexas.edu Vax Systems Manager (817) 273 - 3333 CSE Dept.
