My incoming sendmail connections are dying while waiting for my sendmail daemon to respond to RCPT TO: lines. If I move my /etc/aliases* files out of the way I don't have this problem (but obviously don't have alias support anymore.) I've executed newaliases(1) any number of times to no avail. Does anyone have any idea why my sendmail daemon is hanging? Please respond directly to me (lmascio@lunch.llnl.gov) since I don't read this news group. I'll post a summary along with the solution.
