Greetings, We are trying with little (no :-() success to hang a serial terminal off the "modem" port of a DECstation 3100. It worked fine under Ultrix 3.2, but has not functioned properly since we put up 4.1 last week. A buddy from the data center came over this morning assured me that we are fine electrically. We know that modems work. DEC has told us this is not a "supported operation." Has anyone out there successfully hung a terminal off one of these beasties (I don't want to here about modems) and if so, did you have to pull hair (or patch the kernel) to do it.
