Can anyone point me towards sources of training (courses, books, videos, etc.) which cater for the needs of VMS programmers moving to Ultrix and being asked to write POSIX-compliant code? I know there's a book for VMS *users* who have to deal with Unix, but I haven't seen anything that deals with issues that a programmer should be aware of. Of course, we can send them on straight Unix courses, but if there is material which deals specifically with the migration from VMS, I'd like to learn of it... Email responses please, and if there is sufficient interest, I'll summarise to the net. TIA, Geoff Coupe Dept. EPD/74, Shell Internationale Petroleum Mij The Hague, Holland geoff%epd74hp@nluug.nl

Why do I get a feeling of deja vu? Try "UNIX for VMS users", published by Digital Press. I don't know what it's like from first-hand experience, but people seem to like it. -- John Haxby, Definitively Wrong. Digital <jch@wessex.rdg.dec.com> Reading, England <...!ukc!wessex!jch>
