I need to make a video-tape of some software I am developing, so I can give a presentation at a conference. Does anybody have any experience trying to videotape off the monitor for a DecStation 3100 (8-bit color)? Is there software available that will force the refresh rate to be in sync with the camera (I understand such a thing exists for Macintoshes). Since this is an X project, I can always display on some other X-capable machine (such as our NCD color X-terminals) if it would be easier. Any ideas? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- = Matthew M. Last year, we rigged a monochrome VAXStation 3100 to drive a giant screen in our sales presentation room. All we used was a BNC 'T' connector on the back of the display. One side gets the video input to the display, the other goes to the input connector on the VCR. There may have been another adaptor on the screen end, but as I recall, it was a painless operation. This should at least give you a start.
