I want to distribute the auth database using BIND/Hesiod. I have set up kerberos correctly (I hope), but as soon as "bind" appears in /etc/svc.conf in the "auth" line, /usr/bin/passwd won't work properly anymore running in ENHANCED security level: Kerberos initialization failure Changing password for root Unable to retrieve auth information for root. I even tested it on the server-machine... What is wrong? -- Lars Raeder "...it will sure work next week!"
