Hi folks, Today a user was on the console of our DS5000/200PX running ULTRIX 4.0, stock standard DECwindows, and the cursor "went all white" for a few minutes and then disappeared altogether. The mouse worked fine, although it was very difficult to guess where it was pointing. After logging out, the cursor still didn't reappear. Another user logged in, and the cursor remained invisible. About an hour later the cursor mysteriously reappeared upon the login of a third user. Has anyone seen this behaviour before? Is it likely to be a hardware problem, or some obscure .Xdefaults/sm.cursor.invisible.timeout=1000? :-) Michael Ashley mcba@newt.phys.unsw.oz.au
