We've been having a strange problem with cron on a DEC 3100 running ULTRIX 4.0 it seems that whenever cron is initially ran during startup from rc, it doesn't properly run certain parts of the crontab. i know it does run something, because it does simple echo's and outputs put in for testing, but anything where it has to run an outside program seems to not happen. to fix the problem, if the cron that is running is killed and a new one started, it works fine, however as soon as someone takes the system down, sure enough it doesn't work anylonger. anybody run into this problem? or better yet anybody know how to fix this prob? thanx for any responses... boB rhhollin@wheaton.UUCP -- Bob Hollinger <-------------------------------------> Wheaton College / rhhollin@wheaton.UUCP \ Disclaimer: CPO #1343 >uunet.uu.net!tellab5!wheaton!rhhollin< Wheaton, Il 60187-5593 \_____________________________________/ I claim nothing!
