We would like to know if there is an 8-bit SENDMAIL for Ultrix.

There is no standard for 8-bit sendmail as yet. The
naive implementations (just don't strip the MSB) are
broken in that they can corrupt messages--you don't
want us to give you something that we know can
corrupt your messages do you?

The standard for mail say strip bit-8 from messages.
Even if you have a sendmail that is 8bit clean you cannot reliably post mail
around to every body elses sendmail in the hope that their sendmail is also
bit-8 clean.
