I've just heard a rumor that Toshiba has research groups working on 4Mb, 16Mb, and 64Mb RAMs. Any solid information? John Nagle

A recent "Bay Area Computer Currents" mentioned that the Japanese nuclear energy department (of the Japanese government) was collaborating with one of the chip companies to build a small cyclotron for generating high-energy particle beams which would be used to print submicron chips including RAMs. This is from memory; Computer Currents is usually such a bad rag that I threw this one out from habit. They finally seem to be improving, though.
