I have a user who is trying to run a simmulated user load on our Multimax using Umax 4.2 R3.1.7. He creates 5 processes per simmulated user, all started from one real login. Running as a normal user he keept running into the limit on number of processes per user. I tried to up the number in Umax.param but no ammount of tweeking seemed to make it possible for him to create more than about 150 processes. Last night we tried to run his simmulations as root with the same results. I don't remember what the exact message we get is but it seems to indicate that we have reached an upper bound on the number of processes that a user is allowed to create. Ideas ? Solutions ?
