Dear info-encore people, We recently configured an Annex II to boot off of a Sun 3/60. When we configured it with the switch in the back in the diagnostic position, all worked fine. We set the internet address, plugged onto ethernet, and it booted fine. Now I'm trying to use the server from a DEC VT-320. I have problems when I type the following keys: Key typed character displayed ------------------------- ----------------------- zero (0) eight (8) lowercase p lowercase x uppercase P uppercase X ctrl P (^P) uppercase X space bar eight (8) at sign (@) lowercase x tick (`) lowercase x I've tried all the permutations of bits/char, parity, and stop bits, and nothing seems to solve the problem. Typing stty at the 'annex:' prompt gives the following: Annex port 1: -newlin echo -ilower -olower crtcera crtlera tabs -leap cera lera wera ldisp flush tesc [^?] [^U] [^W] [^R] [^O] [^]] prompt: annex:%s break lbreak -ixany broadcast iflow: bell, oflow: xonoff, isize: 1, timer: - ostopc ostartc [^S] [^Q] baud: 9600, bchar: 8, stopb: 1, parity: none -imask7 control_lines: none When the VT320 is set to 8 bits, No parity, 1 stop bit, all works well except for the characters above. The keys seem to work in the DIAGNOSTIC MODE, so I don't think it's a problem with the connection. The terminal works on other lines ok, so it's not the Keyboard. The main drawback to all of this is that I cannot change any settings on the annex with stty because the space character translates to an eight (8) and I cannot delimit parameters. Anyone got any suggestions? -Cris Fuhrman (manager@a.coe.wvu.wvnet.edu)
