System setup - 2 Annex terminal servers connected to a Gould NP1. Does anyone know if (and if yes then how) we can get each annex bow incoming port to connect to a specific tty port on the Gould (i.e. annex port x connected to NP1 port /dev/tty?? where ?? IS NOT a psuedo tty) ? /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ Michael J. Annexes may be run as 'slave' ports of a MultiMax, but that requires having support for the proprietary Multimax <-> Annex communication protocol. The best you can probably do is to run release 4.0 of the Annex sofware and set the ports to perform an automatic telnet to your Gould machine. The Annex-Multimax distributed tty driver protocol isn't needed to make a UNIX host "see" the Annex ports as its own ports. In Annex-UX 4.0, there's a utility called "rtelnet", which connects a pty on the host to a specified port on a specified Annex. Try it -- I bet you like it. -- Robert Claeson, ERBE DATA AB, P.O.
