[comp.sys.encore] tcsh source differences

aej@wpi.wpi.edu (Allan E Johannesen) (09/14/89)

I believe I heard about a pointer to source diffs which could produce
the tcsh given a Berkeley source as a basis. If anyone knows that of
such a thing, I would appreciate hearing about it.

Anon FTP to tut.cis.ohio-state.edu:pub/tcsh/<pick a file>.
Anon UUCP to osu-cis!~/tcsh/<pick a file>. (Same place, actually.)

The directory in question contains these files from which to pick:

-rw-r--r-- 1 moberg 36438 Feb 11 1989 tcsh.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 karl 104581 Mar 9 1989 tcsh.encore.Z
-rwxr-xr-x 1 paul 128313 Feb 11 1989 tcsh.hp300.Z
-rwxr-xr-x 1 paul 117073 Feb 11 1989 tcsh.mac2.Z
-rwxr-xr-x 1 paul 113183 Feb 11 1989 tcsh.pyr.Z
-rw-r--r-- 1 paul 194061 Feb 11 1989 tcsh.src.tar.Z
-rwxr-xr-x 1 paul 131075 Feb 11 1989 tcsh.sun3os3.Z
-rwxr-xr-x 1 paul 134794 Feb 11 1989 tcsh.sun4os4.Z
-rw-r--r-- 1 paul 192479 Jun 22 09:32 tcsh.tahoesrc.tar.Z

Machine-specific files are pre-compiled binaries, src is from 4.2BSD
(I think), tahoesrc is from the latest 4.3BSDtahoe release.
