This is not Velu Sinha, but Dave Hsu, dying for some info. Due to the soon-to-occur reclamation of my 1200 baud modem (on loan) by its rightful owner, I have been pushed back into, or maybe more accurately, prodded towards the ranks of those people shopping for a modem. Partly because the University has hinted a desire to get/install/ let people at some 2400 baud links, but mostly because I'd like to write a screen in LESS than the 10 or so seconds its takes, I have decided that 2400 is a must. Therefore... What should I be looking for? What should I be looking at? Protocol is no object, but Hayes AT style stuff is a plus. Also, does anybody have any experiences with products of TEAM Technology? It's a Taiwanese firm which offers a 2400 I'm curious about. How's their workmanship? (do you hear that weird sound in the background? that's me banging my head for not going shopping for modems BEFORE I spent last summer in Taiwan. Geez. And I only returned 4 weeks ago.) Lastly, what's the difference between v22 and v22bis? thanks in advance, dave hsu (reachable at : hsu @ mit-prep) -- Velu Sinha UUCP: {seismo,allegra,brl-bmd}!umcp-cs!velu CSNet: velu@umcp-cs ARPA: velu.umcp-cs@CSNet-Relay velu@umd-csd (Use this one!)
