We have a Gould PN6040G supermini computer (PN6741D-030 with 3 card CPU) for sale. The Gould is running UTX/32 2.0U03 (equivalent to Berkeley 4.3 UNIX(tm)). It is an ideal machine, at a fair price, for a multitasking environment. Our company has outgrown the Gould, but it will make a handsome addition to somebody's UNIX network. Included with the system are: Ethernet card with NFS. 24 asynchronous serial ports. Floating point (2 cards)* 8 megabytes of memory (two cards). 1600 bpi 1/2 in 9 track tape drive, 25 ips stop/start 100ips streaming. 160 meg 9 in internal disk drive. 160 meg 14 in external disk drive (not under service). TeleVideo 921 monitor. MultiTech 1200/300 bps modem. The machine is currently merlin.pubserv.com, and is under service contract until at least December 1990. It is available now so if your the least bit interested (and would like a couple months free service) call Jayne @ (217) 398-2060. Or, for more details on the performance and configuration of merlin, send email to mike@pubserv.com. The initial asking price is $30,000, but that is, of course, negotiable. Please note that the floating point processor is two cards. In order to use it the Ethernet or one of the 4meg memory cards will have to be removed. (Our principle application is TeX which does not use many floating point operations.) Encore/Gould does sell larger memory cards for this machine.
