I hope this is the best newsgroup for this, as there is no xylogics one. I have been trying to connect an annexII port up as a dial up SL/IP link through a pair of modems to a single Apple Mac. I have found that to make it work I had to switch off the modem control lines. Has anyone else done this? If so, what annex configuration did you use? If so, what annex configuration did you use? control_lines set to modem_control for SLIP lines probably does not work the way you think. If I remember correctly, if the SLIP port is coming up and there is no DCD, it will block until DCD is raised. Now, the Annex has no way of asking your modem to dial *and* your modem won't raise DCD until it has connected. That sort of sounds right, but I'm forgetting something. Some of these issues received a working over going into the R5.0 release. I don't remember what was fixed. This problem would/might also be allievated by use of DSR; I don't know if the Annex-2e or Annex-3 makes use of it. Either way, you can always contact Xylogics' tech support at annex-support@xylogics.com. John -- John Robert LoVerso <john@loverso.leom.ma.us> John & Sue's House, Leominster MA
