                  SR. SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER

The Advanced Computing Facility at the Cornell University Theory Center
is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of 
Sr. Systems Programmer.  The individual in this position
will be responsible for maintaining, strengthening, and developing
Trillium, a distributed operating system for a network of transputers.

Requirements include:

     -  BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination
        of education and experience.
     -  Strong experience programming at the board level,
        including assembly language programming.
     -  Strong experience with the UNIX operating system.
     -  Sound knowledge and understanding of operating
        systems concepts.
     -  Knowledge and understanding of digital design for
        microprocessor based computers.
     -  General knowledge of programming issues related to
        parallel computing.

In addition to the requirements listed above, the following skills
are highly desirable:

     -  Understanding of and programming experience with
        the INMOS transputer.
     -  Systems programming experience with a distributed
        operating system.
     -  Strong programming experience with UNIX BSD IPC.
