I am considering buying Caplin boards for a MicroVAX host.
Does anybody have experience of such boards or dealings with Caplin?
The first offer of an "Educational Discount" from them is miserly;
does anybody have better experience or believe that they can be beaten
down?

In a mail dated 7 Sep 1988 Patrick Van Renterghem claimed that Q-bus
transputer platforms were also produced by FPS and U-Micro.
On recently centacting FPS I was told that work on development of such
a product has ceased and that the Patrick's contact, Bruce Jones has now
left the company. U-Micro deny all knowledge of anything other than
PC-based systems.

Does this mean that Caplin has no competitors for Q-bus systems?
