[comp.sys.transputer] Sun plug-in board

PVR@BGERUG51.BITNET (Patrick Van Renterghem / Transputer Lab) (12/22/88)

According to Duncan Roweth (D.Roweth@EDINBURGH.AC.UK) of the University of
Edinburgh, Meiko have a new product (the MK200), an 'in sun' compute board.

> It has a VME shared-memory interface to the sun, with 1 Mbyte of shared memo-
> ry on a system processor. There are four other processors on the board, each
> of which can have from 1-12 Mbytes of RAM. These four processors are
> electronically reconfigurable.

> Existing software allows you to allocate Transputers to sun processes. The
> board can be interfaced to a Computing Surface, in which case it acts like
> any other compute board in that machine.

> The Meiko Multi-user software (MMVCS) is available for this board.

> If you want more details contact Richard Cownie at Meiko in Bristol.
