According to Duncan Roweth (D.Roweth@EDINBURGH.AC.UK) of the University of Edinburgh, Meiko have a new product (the MK200), an 'in sun' compute board. > It has a VME shared-memory interface to the sun, with 1 Mbyte of shared memo- > ry on a system processor. There are four other processors on the board, each > of which can have from 1-12 Mbytes of RAM. These four processors are > electronically reconfigurable. > Existing software allows you to allocate Transputers to sun processes. The > board can be interfaced to a Computing Surface, in which case it acts like > any other compute board in that machine. > The Meiko Multi-user software (MMVCS) is available for this board. > If you want more details contact Richard Cownie at Meiko in Bristol. ******************************************************************************* * Patrick Van Renterghem, BITNET: pvr@bgerug51.bitnet * * R&D Assistant, EDU: pvr%bgerug51.bitnet@cunyvm.cuny.edu * * State University of Ghent UUCP: mcvax!bgerug51.bitnet!pvr * * Belgium JANET: PVR%earn.bgerug51@NSS.CS.UCL.AC.UK * * * * Automatic Control Lab/The Transputer Lab, Tel: +32 91 22 57 55 ext. 313 * * State University of Ghent, Fax: +32 91 22 85 91 * * Grotesteenweg Noord 2, * * B-9710 Ghent-Zwijnaarde, Belgium * *******************************************************************************
