True or false ? I read in a Belgian magazine that IBM has ordered 50000 transputers from Inmos in november for an internal supercomputing project. How much of this is true ? Patrick

IBM does have a supercomputing project which is headed by Dr. Chen (formerly of Cray). In a TIME magazine article, he is quoted to be aiming for a 256 processor machine which would be capable of 1 billion operations per second. Sean Brunnock
