True or false ?

I read in a Belgian magazine that IBM has ordered 50000 transputers from Inmos
in november for an internal supercomputing project. How much of this is true ?

IBM does have a supercomputing project which is headed
by Dr. Chen (formerly of Cray). In a TIME magazine article,
he is quoted to be aiming for a 256 processor machine which
would be capable of 1 billion operations per second.
