OCCAM USER GROUP CALL FOR PAPERS ELEVENTH TECHNICAL MEETING University of Edinburgh Monday/Tuesday 25th and 26th September 1989 International forum and presentations on current research and developments in the exploitation of Occam and Transputers. The OCCAM User Group invites all those interested in concurrent systems using Transputers to attend its 11th Technical Meeting at the University of Edinburgh. The meeting includes lectures, an exhibition, a panel session with key speakers, and meetings of the Special Interest Groups. Focuses for the 11th meeting: Productive design and development of concurrent software Industrial applications Contributions are invited in these and in any other areas of interest, such as: software tools and operating systems for concurrency; exploitation of formal methods; concurrency in numerical methods; languages other than occam; neural networks; object-oriented programming; functional languages; simulation; databases. Authors are requested to submit five copies of an extended abstract of no more than 1500 words outlining the content of their paper. Abstracts should be sent to the Conference Organiser to arrive by Monday 15th May 1989, in time to be distributed for review by three members of the OUG committee. Acceptance will be notified by mid-June, with details of the requirements for camera-ready copy. Accepted papers must be delivered as camera-ready copy to the Conference Organiser by Monday 17th July. They will be published without subsequent revision in the Procedings, which will be available at the meeting. Papers will be presented at the meeting in half-hour sessions (including time for questions). As well as the name and title of all authors, please supply with each paper the full NAME and TITLE of the individual(s) giving the presentation, with a TELEPHONE NUMBER and, if possible, E-mail address and FAX number, where the presenter can be reached.
