[comp.sys.transputer] OCCAM2

smith@s1.elec.uq.oz (Martin Smith) (04/10/89)

Currently at the Elec. dept at the Uni of Qld we are researching
(among other things) dataflow computers and neural networks. We
have a transputer and OCCAM1 and are interested in doing some
simulation work using occam. However we have found OCCAM1 not of
much help.

 We need OCCAM2.

Where can we get it (the people we bought the transputer off
 do not know).
We had an OCCAM emulator running on a VAX under unix but we
have sold the VAX and now have a SUN network, the emulator
 was not transportable.

An emulator for the Sun workstation network (3/50 3/60)
would be just as good if not better -- we are interested in
using occam rather than the the transputer.

     Thank You

Two recent postings here have enquired about the availability of occam 2
evaluation systems for VAX and Sun hosts with no attached transputer
hardware.

INMOS has software products currently in beta test which contain an
occam 2 cross compiler and a transputer simulator capable of single
stepping through occam source, inspecting variables and setting
breakpoints as well as the more usual machine level stuff.

The magic numbers are IMS-D505 (Sun3/SunOS4.0) and IMS-D605 (VAX/VMS).

You can contact your local INMOS sales office for more info.
