Call For Papers - Further Details

Many people have written to me in response to the "Call for Papers"
for the NATUG2 meeting, asking what length, format, etc. is acceptable
for abstracts. We would like for abstracts to fit on one single-spaced
page; the format is not critical. The full papers will be (eventually)
published in the meeting Proceedings, but the abstracts will form the bulk
of the conference program. If you fell you need to submit a longer summary
of your paper (or the complete paper) in addition to your abstract
to aid us in making acceptance decisions, feel free to do so, but
this is definitely not required!

If you are planning to submit an abstract, it would be helpful to me if
you could let me know via a quick email message so I have some idea how many
submissions we need to deal with. To repeat the CFP:

The 1989 Fall meeting of the North American Transputer Users
Group will be hosted by Duke University, Durham, North Carolina,
on October 18 and 19. Contributions are being solicited in the
areas of hardware, software and applications. Presentations will
be allotted 20 minutes each, with ample additional time for
questions; this format will allow for approximately 25 talks.
All accepted papers will appear in a published proceedings.
Abstracts must be submitted by 15 July 1989. Notice of
acceptance will be sent out by 15 August, and final drafts of
accepted papers will be due by 15 September. Abstracts should be
submitted to:

Professor John Board, NATUG 2 Program Chair

[P.S. for oliver!oliver@uunet.uu.net - I can't successfully respond to
your email - the nearby airport is Raleigh-Durham International Airport;
American Airlines has direct flights to Paris and connections to Germany
and elsewhere from there.]
