Concerning transputer-based framestores:

There is a company called 'Impuls' in Vienna which offers high-end
transputer based graphics hardware:
* 9 to approx. 400 transputers (T425 or T800, 17.5 or 20 MHz)
* 2 (opt. 6) MB RAM per transputer, 5 cycles.
* 0.5 (opt. 1.5) MB video RAM per transputer.
* Max. 2730*2048 visible resolution, 8 or 24 bits/pixel.
* Opt.: C004 link switches, SCSI interfaces, Multibus interfaces, ...
