On 30 Sep Michael Bane asked about ref's for communication over networks of processors. In the August 1989 issue of Parallel Computing Saad & Schultz have an article on "Data Comm in Parallel Architectures" - p. 131-150. They have a similar article restricted to hypercubes in a recent issue of J. Parallel & Distributed Comp. (which I can't find right now...)
