[comp.sys.transputer] U-microcomputers

J.Wexler@edinburgh.ac.uk (11/17/89)

You may know that U-microcomputers of Warrington have gone into liquidation.
Their stock is bound to be sold off soon, either by tender or auction. It will
presumably include a number of their Transputer products - they manufactured
8-Transputer boards for PC-compatibles, among other things. Is anybody
interested in this? There's no guarantee that the stuff will work, and an
absolute certainty that nobody at all will support it! ... but it may be very
cheap. If you want to know more, please get in touch with me.

Disclaimer (for the benefit of all those accountants, solicitors, liquidators
and irate creditors out there):
This message is for INFORMATION ONLY. It is NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT. I have
nothing to do with U-micro, and never have had, except that I represent one of
their smaller creditors. I don't know anything about why they failed, nor where
the money has gone, so if you are also a creditor, I can't help you. I make no
promises, guarantees, or claims about U-micro's products or services. Although
I'm thinking about the possibility of a joint approach to acquire some of the
useful bits, I am NOT undertaking to make any particular deal, or to complete a
purchase, or to act as an agent. And if anybody does eventually get any of the
stuff, I take ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSIBILITY for the hardware, software, money, or
anything else. I just wanted to make that clear!
