I am trying to re-establish some sort of contact with parasoft to find out what they have done lately with their product express. I've tried two email addresses - one definitely bounced. The other elicited no response. From this half of the world the time differences and cost make telephone queries costly and inconvenient. If someone out there is from parasoft, could you please email a response - I would welcome mail from others who can enlighten me. I have version 2.4 (dated 11th April 79) of Express/cubix. When I received this version (lead up saga eliminated) I found one small bug and one very major shortcoming. The bug was that the grid-decomposition routines didn't work for no. nodes not a power of 2. The major deficiency was that to use the automatic decomposition routines to read data into a 2-d array one need to know in advance the number of nodes in order to place the data in the correct oder on the file on the disc. When I talked to parasoft (back in May or June I guess) they acknowledged the first error and said it would be easily fixed; the second they also acknowledged as a problem with ease of use but suggested it was too difficult to solve. I haven't heard anything since. So - I would like to know what is the current state of the releases of Express - has the bug I mentioned been fixed, what is the latest release version no, has any additions been made, does the graphics software still mindlessly insist on EGA (and therefore won't work on VGA)? If there are upgrades - what is the cost? Also - what is the set of hosts supported (sun386i and AT clones were about it last I heard). d.s.
