Has anyone out there managed to obtain the multi-format frame grabber from Meiko? It seems whenever I phone them the final product is about two weeks away! Any information on this illusive product is most welcome. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Farzin Deravi, | UUCP : ...!ukc!pyr.swan.ac.uk!eederavi| Image Processing Laboratory, | JANET : eederavi@uk.ac.swan.pyr | Electrical Engineering Dept., | voice : +44 792 295583 | University of Wales, | Fax : +44 792 295532 | Swansea, SA2 8PP, U.K. | Telex : 48358 | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This will be of interest only to people who have programmed the MEiKO Frame Grabber. After analysing my code I have noted that the MEiKO MK027sys is slowing the frame grabber down. I've had a look at the code and hacked all the supervisor bus code out (there were loops in this that just polled registers waiting for something to happen). This didn't seem to improve things as much as I would have liked. So I went on to rewrite MK027sys. This has proved difficult as I have no software documentation for it and the hardware reference manual is incomplete (missing register descriptions). I now have a hacked MK027sys which doesn't work ! And I can't see why. The question is has anyone written a simple peice of code that just grabs a frame, without using MK027sys. Any help would be appreciated.
