Dear Mail List: I am quite interested in Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI). Could you please give me some information about 1) Environment for DAI on transputers a) The languages used for Artificial Intelligence The OCCAM itself seems to be a difficulty language for developing AI system. Which languages do we use mostly to deal with AI systems in transputers now ? I remember that the group had discussed that problem several months ago. Could someone please send me the summary of the discussion ? b) Operating system, communicating tool or other tools 2) Nowadays development of Distributed Artificial Intelligence in transputers Transputers are very powerful to support DAI. We are interested in how to implement the AI system in a transputer network. We would like to know any experiences of building a DAI system on transputers. Welcome any comments and information about references. Thanks a lot in advance. You could try : "Parallel Processing and Artificial Intelligence", Edited by myself and Mike Reeve. It's published by John Wiley and Sons and should be available in all good book stores. The book results from a meeting held in London by the Occam User Group AI SIG. Contributors include: Prof. Igor Aleksander - Myths and Realities about Neural Computing Architectures Prof. Colin Besant - Application of AI to the Programming of Robots Prof. David Gelernter - Information Management in LINDA Dr. Atsuhiro Goto - R+D of the Parallel Inference Machine in the FGCS project Prof. Tosiyasu Kunii - A Communicating Process Architecture Model of Primitive Image Understanding. Dr. Rajiv Trehan - Concurrent Logic Languages for the Design and Implementation of Parallel AI systems. Prof. Les Valiant - Bulk-synchronous Parallel Computing You can contact the publisher direct on the following email: gaynor@cs.nott.ac.uk in the UK and maybe from the USA if your mail has a fair wind.
