While we are all discussing X-window servers and transputers, I thought I'd just mention that here at Kent we are reimplementing The X server in occam and even taking some notice of software engineering ! ;-) C. ps see original C sample server for explaination

Since there has been some traffic lately on X-windows, I thought I'd share my manager's comment that was made after looking through the MIT sources. He said he hoped the students who wrote it didn't graduate. The guy who ported it to our machine had more macabre thoughts.
