Information on the Trollius programming environment for distributed multi- computers is now available via anonymous ftp. This includes Trollius user manuals, overview documents, and on-line man pages. Trollius is an easy to use programming environment that builds on familiar foundations such as UNIX, C, and FORTRAN; that supplies uniform programming environments on the host and compute nodes; and that allows monitoring and manipulation of running processes. Performance is achieved by supporting several layers of message-passing and process-creation routines. Lower levels give increased speed at the price of increased complexity. To access Trollius information, ftp onto tcgould.tn.cornell.edu (internet address 128.84.248.35) using the anonymous login, and change directories to transputer/docs. The available documents are described in the README file. Roslyn Leibensperger Technical Consultant Cornell Theory Center
