[comp.sys.transputer] Info. needed on IMS T800 INMOS link protocol

I would appreciate it if someone could provide me info on the 2
following questions:

1. Can the Link protocol on the IMS T800 be disabled? (if yes how?)

2. Is their any re-transmission or error detection in this protocol?
   (From what I understand their is only transmission and an 
   acknowledgment of that transmission from the receiver.)
