[comp.sys.transputer] Missing pages in BYTE

J.Wexler@edinburgh.ac.uk (05/28/90)

I saw this article in a photocopy. It was very good. I then tried to buy a
copy. I looked in several copies in libraries and in bookshops. None of the
April editions included the article, so I tried other recent editions and still
failed to find it. So your experience is not unique.

Thanks to all those who wrote to tell me that the H1 article really was in the
April european edition of Byte magazine. Special thanks to Herr Walter from
(if my memory serves me correctly) Stuttgart University, who offered to send me
a copy of the missing article. (offer accepted.) However, no one has written
to say that the european pages were missing from their copy too. Can I really
be the only one to have suffered from this problem? My copy really was a
european one by the way - according to the front cover at least.

The Byte publishers make different sections that replace one another in
one "slot" of the layout. They are usually aimed at a different countries
or regions. My suggestion is to call customer service and ask them what
you have to do to get a version of that issue that has the article of
intrest.
