Dear Helios users, are you tired of writing resource maps for Helios? Well, we didn't like this job either so we developed a graphical tool for that purpose and named it TED. TED is an editor for transputer hardware topologies and its graphical interface is based on the X-Window system where the Helios version requires X11R2 and the Sun version requires X11R4 and SunOS 4.01 or higher. This tool allows the graphical construction of Helios resource maps, where several standard topology generators may assist you during this process. You may generate a Helios resource map from every generated or drawn topology which will server as input for the Helios resource map compiler 'rmgen'. And the best news of all, TED is public domain, but you have to obey the copyright. You may find the binaries of TED under the directory 'pub/transputer/ted' via anonymous ftp on the machine 'minnehaha.rhrk.uni-kl.de'. And you may receive the source or the binaries if you ask for it via e-mail. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find errors or if have suggestions to improve TED.
