[comp.sys.transputer] i860 + T800

heller@LISBOA.KS.UIUC.EDU (07/14/90)

hi netters,
i am looking for the power of the i860 combined with
the links of the T800.
i know that TRANSTECH will have such a TRAM, but there
may be more than one source out there.

so, if you know of any other vendors who sell TRAMs
with T800+i860+lots_of_memory then please let me know:

heller@lisboa.ks.uiuc.edu
or (for bitnetters)
heller@ncsagate.bitnet

thanks a lot for your (hopefully) numerous answers,
cheers

helmut

p.s.: i also appreciate hints for compilers for the
i860/T800 couple, of course.

You could try looking up Meiko or Micro Way who'm I both saw last week at
a Conference here in the UK (Southampton) demonstrating Transputer/i860
systems (I think Inmos had one too).

The Meiko system utilises the i860 by library calls or the Intel compiler
(which I hear's not too hot) and Micro Way have their own compiler.

I can post phone numbers for the States (I think) if they're wanted.
