[comp.sys.transputer] Transputers for PS/2s

J.Wexler@edinburgh.ac.uk (08/09/90)

I'm looking for Transputer boards to fit in a PS/2. So far, I have tracked down
references to CSA, Levco, Parsytec, Quintek, Sension and Transtech as possible
suppliers. Can anybody (a) give me more names to try, or (b) tell me that they
have used one of these products and it was good?
    Thanks,

One of my industrial year students developed a Transputer board for a
PS/2 whilst working at the IBM research centre at Winchester, the year before
last. His name is Jonathon Cook and is, as far as I know, now
working at IBM Hursley. The address of the research centre is

	IBM (UK) Limited,
	Scientific Research Centre,
	Athelstan House,
	St. Clement Street,
	Winchester, Hants.
	SO23 9DR

You would need to contact them to find if it ever turned into
a product, or if there is any other way of getting at it.

Hope this helps,

Dick Bacon.

The PS/2 is supposed to be supported by the Inmos B017-1 board. This four site
motherboard is configured as two tram site areas. I suspect that it costs less
than the B008.

Last I checked, the board was coming, but not available yet.
