My 6300+ came with 512k worth of 150 nsec 256k chips soldered onto the motherboard bank zero. Bank one was empty chip carriers. I plugged in a set of 256k chips to bring it up to 1 meg which is the max for memory on the motherboard. The switch setting is as follows: SW2: 1 thru 4, old 512k setting: on-on-on-off SW2: 1 thru 4, new 1meg setting: off-off-on-off I did find one bug in the customer diagnostic. Soon after you crank it up, it gives you a memory configuration display with the memory size on the board and the memory size according to the switches. Well, with 1meg on the motherboard but the switches still set at 512k, it says the mother board has 512k on it, not the 1meg really there.
