Hello world, I have an application that I'm running under Meiko CSTools but whose process' are always connected in a pipeline and only need to communicate with their immediate neighbours. So I don't think that I need the clever through routing provided by CSTools and would like to bypass it to enhance my communications throuput (higher transmission rate and lower communications start-up time). This should be possible as "mrun" wires up the processors for you independantly of the program(s) being run. Is there any way that I can do this without recourse to cs_build ? I ask because a) I don't want to learn another arcane parallel job harness, and b) I would like to involve fortran and this would be doubly difficult at the cs_build stage (I think). Any ideas ? Thanks. -- --Paul Mitchell (CMA N.Cheshire, DoD#0145) | Computer Centre, JANET: p.j.mitchell@uk.ac.keele.seq1 | Keele University, Keele, USENET: p.j.mitchell@seq1.keele.ac.uk | Staffordshire, ST5 5BG, U.K. BITNET: p.j.mitchell%seq1.keele.ac.uk@ukacrl | (+44 or 0)782 621111 ext 3302
